Healthcare should be personal. And that’s exactly why Eno River Family Wellness exists.
Heather Fayhee believes that the best healthcare begins with a genuine relationship between patients and their provider.
After more than two decades of caring for individuals and families, Heather recognized the importance of having time to truly listen, understand each patient’s unique needs, and build meaningful relationships.
That’s what inspired her to create Eno River Family Wellness.
Through Direct Primary Care, Heather has created an environment where patients can experience healthcare differently—with longer appointments, easier access to their provider, and the freedom to have real conversations about their health.
Her goal is simple: to make sure every patient feels heard, supported, and confident in their healthcare decisions.
Heather earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004.
Throughout her career, she has cared for patients across the lifespan in community-based practices and employer-sponsored healthcare settings.
Her experience has reinforced her belief that effective healthcare requires more than simply treating symptoms.
It requires understanding the whole person, building trust, and creating a partnership that supports long-term health.
At Eno River Family Wellness, Heather brings that philosophy into every patient relationship.
Healthcare shouldn’t feel rushed, complicated, or impersonal.
At Eno River Family Wellness, we believe patients deserve more time, more access, and a stronger connection with their healthcare provider.
Heather founded the practice to create a different kind of primary care experience—one where patients are more than appointment times on a calendar.
By choosing the Direct Primary Care model, she’s able to focus on what matters most: building relationships, listening to concerns, and helping patients make informed decisions about their health.
Because better healthcare begins with better relationships.
When she’s not caring for patients, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
You’ll often find her gardening, hiking, or exploring North Carolina’s rivers, creeks, and marshes by kayak.
Her love for nature, family, and the local community is part of what makes Eno River Family Wellness so personal.
Heather isn’t just a healthcare provider serving Durham—she’s someone who values the same connections, experiences, and community that make this area special.
Finding the right healthcare provider is an important decision.
